Edition No. 24

Tom Sachs: "deluxe racing set", 2003

"we drop culture, we erase culture". Tom Sachs' environment at Deutsche Guggenheim (24.07. - 5.10.2003) works like an arena of the 21st century. On the arterial road remote-controlled racers are circulating between models and construction kits of a handcrafted cosmos - from Le Corbusiers "Unité de Habitation" to Mcdonald's. Peak level is the Nutsy's Cup, when everybody can join the show.

The Edition No. 24, the "deluxe racing kit", let you feel like a professional racer. The suitcase display, Nutsy's instructions and Nutsy's stickers have been designed by Tom Sachs as an extension of his exhibition. Manufactured of the same material used for the environment objects. Even the white Porsche is a special production for the Berlin edition.
