Jeff Wall - Artist’s Talk

The curator of the show, Jennifer Blessing, talks with Jeff Wall about his new works and the exhibition concept of Exposure.

10 Years of Commissioned Works for Deutsche Guggenheim, a film serie

Thirteen commissioned works have been created in the past ten years for the exhibition hall Unter den Linden. These include works by Jeff Koons, Bill Viola, Gerhard Richter, Hanne Darboven, Phoebe Washburn and now Jeff Wall. The Deutsche Guggenheim will present a film series dedicated to the works of the thirteen artists. Some contributions are in English.

Cinematographic and photographic moments in Jeff Wall's work, lecture by Prof. Dr. Gregor Stemmrich

Gregor Stemmrich has been teaching at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Dresden since 1999. In his research, the art historian examines cinematographic approaches in art. His publications include Jeff Wall. Szenarien im Bildraum der Wirklichkeit and Kunst/Kino.


FILM PROGRAM

In his photographic works, Jeff Wall not only refers to cinema in general, but makes direct parallels to the history of neorealist film. With reference to his exhibition Exposure, the Canadian has compiled a special film program that will be screened in co-operation with the Kino Arsenal.
