What’s in a Photograph?
The photos and videos by the American artists participating in Freeway Balconies show people from very different angles—buttoned up or naked, in self-conscious poses or spontaneous snapshots. Based on our own observations and together with artist Karen Winzer, we will take a look at photographic self-presentation: How do you want to see yourself? Which part of you do you want to reveal to others? Your best or your most interesting side? Do you feel any connection to Tokio Hotel or to an American soldier in uniform? With the help of a photographer, you can realize your ideas in our own photo studio.
