The tenth anniversary of the Deutsche Guggenheim exhibition hall on Unter den Linden, a joint venture of the Deutsche Bank and the Guggenheim Foundation, is being celebrated with a jubilee exhibition. To mark the first decade of the Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin, AFFINITIES presents the latest acquisitions of the Deutsche Bank Collection in dialogue with masterpieces from the Guggenheim Museum and highlights from the collection itself. Works on loan from the St. Petersburg Hermitage, Stockholm’s Moderna Museet, Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris and the Dakis Joannou Foundation in Athens will also be shown at the exhibition hall on Unter den Linden.

Curated by Dr. Ariane Grigoteit, Director of Deutsche Bank Art and of the Bank's collection, the exhibition presents art masterpieces of the last century and the present one. The spectrum ranges from Henri Matisse and Vasily Kandinsky to established contemporary artists such as Hiroshi Sugimoto and Louise Bourgeois, and also includes newcomers to the international art scene such as Kai Althoff and Diamantis Sotiropoulos.
